Born in Milan, Italy, he studied the viola in the "Conservatorio Giuseppe Verdi" in Milan and received his diploma for Viola and Chamber Music. He then was admitted into the "Musikhochschule" in Vienna, Austria, in the class of Wolfgang Klos. In 1986-87 summer course in the "Musikhochschule Hannover", Germany, and in 1990 in the "Conservatorio Forlí", Italy.

Collaborator with the "Staatsoper Viena", solist viola in the "Orquestra de Cámara del Palau de la Música Catalana" in Barcelona, regular collaborator with the "Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León" in Valladolid, the "Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia" and the Orchestra of the "Gran Teatre del Liceu" in Barcelona. Is a founder member of the EuroQuartet Barcelona.
